SAGINAW, MI – Oct. 2, 2018: The Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum and Huntington Bank have partnered to provide Huntington Bank Common Cents Financial Field Trips on Fridays throughout the 2018 and 2019 school year. These field trips are available to schools in Bay, Midland and Saginaw counties.
Designed for first graders and taught by Huntington Bank and museum staff, Huntington Bank Common Cents Financial Field Trips allow early elementary age students to learn basic math and financial skills through fun, creative activities from coin counting and coloring to hands-on role-playing and more. Plus, each student will receive financial literacy materials to share with their family members.
A generous grant from the Huntington Bank provides admission-free financial literacy learning opportunities to qualified Title 1 elementary schools.
“Huntington is proud to partner with the Children’s Museum to provide kids with the tools they need to make smart financial decisions as they get older,” said David Green, Huntington’s Community President in the Great Lakes Bay region. “Education and hands-on money experience are critical in building a generation of smart money managers.”
Teachers may contact the Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum at (989) 399-6626 to schedule a Huntington Bank Common Cents Financial Field Trip and learn more about available admission scholarships.
