  • Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum volunteers come from different age groups, different backgrounds and different abilities, but these talented people all have one thing in common – they believe in our mission! Whether working as a gallery volunteer and guiding our play experience or helping with an exhibit maintenance project, each volunteer helps our guests discover the world through creativity and exploration.

Make some time in your schedule for fun! Join our family of volunteers and discover how rewarding giving back to our community’s children can be. Here is quick sampling of our ongoing volunteer opportunities:

    • Gallery Guides – Gallery volunteers help us keep the galleries organized, lead activities for our guests like obstacle courses or parachute play, encourage young artists in the Art Mart and much more!
    • Office Support – Dedicated to our behind-the-scenes needs, our office support volunteers help us with data entry, organizational and housekeeping tasks, and even IT projects.
    • Educators – Education students, current and retired educators, scientists, engineers, and passionate professionals help us with field trips, interactive hands-on programming, and day camps.
    • And more! This is just a quick snapshot of the opportunities we have available. Let us know your specific talents and we can find a way to make the most of them.

In addition to the satisfaction of a job well done, our regular volunteers can receive benefits like free passes, discounts, documentation of hours and letters of recommendation. We are excited to have you join us!
