The Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum (MMCM) is seeking an independent, dedicated, and detail-oriented Gallery Assistant/Receptionist who possesses a passion for and commitment to enriching the lives of children and families through play at our museum.
The Gallery Assistant/Receptionist reports to the President & CEO. This person will assist in the day-to-day operations. This person will follow established practices and procedures that promote health, safety, and security of the environment. This person should be able to demonstrate the ability to bend and lift up to 50lbs.

Job Title: Part-time Janitor/Custodian

The Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum (MMCM) is seeking an independent, dedicated, and detail-oriented Janitor/Custodian who possesses a passion for the museum.
The Janitor/Custodian reports to the President & CEO. This person will assist the Facilities Manager in the day-to-day maintenance of the building. This person will follow established practices and procedures.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides administrative support to the organization including, but not limited to:
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and/or scrubbing them
- Gather and empty trash
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors
- Clean and sanitize individual gallery elements using child-safe products
- Follow procedures for the use of cleaners and equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
- Move furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks as needed
- Clear debris from grounds as needed
- Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
- Repair minor issues throughout the facility as needed
- Be able to lift 50 lbs minimum, walk, bend and be able to stand for periods of time
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Experience preferred
- Demonstrate a friendly, helpful attitude
